1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting and using The Eye ("the Bot") in your Discord server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Bot.
2. Description of Service
The Eye is a Discord bot developed and maintained by The Eye Network that provides:
- Auto-moderation features (keyword filtering, spam detection, invite blocking)
- Raid protection (account age verification, join rate limiting)
- Invite tracking and analytics
- Server logging and moderation tools
- Custom commands and utilities
3. Discord Compliance
You agree to:
- Use the Bot in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- Not use the Bot for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Not attempt to abuse, exploit, or reverse engineer the Bot
4. Bot Permissions
The Bot requires certain Discord permissions to function. By inviting the Bot, you grant these permissions. You may revoke them at any time by removing the Bot from your server.
5. Data Collection
The Bot collects and stores:
- Discord server IDs and configuration settings
- User IDs for moderation logs and invite tracking
- Message content temporarily for auto-moderation scanning
- Command usage logs
6. Data Usage
Data is used solely for:
- Providing the Bot's features
- Generating server analytics and logs
- Improving the Bot's functionality
7. Data Sharing
The Eye Network does not:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share data with advertisers or marketing companies
- Share data with third parties except as required by law
Law Enforcement
We may disclose your information if required by law or court order. We will only disclose what is legally required and will notify you unless prohibited by law.
8. Data Retention
Data is retained while the Bot is active in your server. Upon removal, data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
9. Availability & Support
The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Eye Network does not guarantee uptime, availability, or that the Bot will function without errors, interruptions, or data loss.
No support is offered. The Bot is built for friends and personal use. There is no formal support channel, no guaranteed response time, and no obligation to fix issues. If it breaks, it gets fixed when it gets fixed -- possibly never. You use the Bot entirely at your own risk.
The Bot and any associated services may be discontinued, changed, or removed at any time without notice, and without liability to The Eye Network.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Eye Network shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Bot or its services. This includes any harm caused by moderation actions taken by the Bot, including but not limited to bans, kicks, timeouts, warned users, message removals, or lost messages.
11. Modifications
These Terms may be modified at any time without notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Contact
There is no formal support or contact channel. Do not expect replies. The Eye is developed and maintained by The Eye Network.
13. Maintainer
The Eye is developed and maintained solely by The Eye Network.
